Your salary figures

Every calculation on this site runs in your own browser. The CTC, salary structure and tax amounts you enter are never sent to a server, stored in a database, or shared with anyone. When you close the tab they are gone. The shareable link is built locally from the values in your browser only.

Information you choose to send us

The only time we receive personal data from you is when you use the contact form, which is run through a third-party service called Formspree. That means your name, email address and message are transmitted to Formspree, then forwarded to us as an email. We only use those details to reply to you. We do not add you to mailing lists.

Local storage

If you switch between light and dark mode, your choice is remembered in your browser's local storage so it survives a page reload. This is stored on your device only, is never transmitted, and can be cleared with your browser's normal site-data settings.

Cookies

We do not set tracking cookies, and there is no advertising network running on this site. Some features are served from third-party sources (see below) that may set their own cookies as part of their normal operation.

Analytics and advertising

We do not run analytics or advertising, including Google AdSense, at this time. If that changes, this policy will be updated to say so before anything is added.

Third-party services

A few services are involved in running this site and handle data under their own privacy policies:

• Formspree processes the contact form and delivers your message to us by email.
• Google Fonts serves the Geist typefaces; requesting them sends your IP address to Google.
• Your hosting provider sees standard server logs (IP address, user agent) as with any website.

Data security

Because we hold almost no personal data, there is little to secure on our side. Any details you do send through the contact form travel over an encrypted connection, and we treat received emails with the same care as any private correspondence.

Your rights

If you have contacted us, you can ask what information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or withdraw any consent you gave. Just write to us and we will act on it. Because the calculator itself stores nothing, there is no account data to export or remove.

Children's privacy

This site is aimed at adults working out their salary and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has contacted us, let us know and we will delete the message.

Changes to this policy

If the way this site handles data changes, this page will be updated and the date at the top bumped. Significant changes will be reflected here before they take effect.
